Royan: Smuk, enkelt enfamiliehus L'Hibiscus, bygget i 1963. 500 m fra bymidten af Royan, solrige beliggenhed i en bydel, 400 m fra havet, 400 m fra stranden. Til alene benyttelse: smuk have med græsplane og blomster. Havemøbler, grill. Parkeringsplads ved huset. Indkøbsforretning, supermarked 400 m, restaurant 100 m, sandstrand 400 m. Golfbane 8 km, ridehal 8 km. Bemærk venligst: bil anbefales.

Situated in a lovely area, close to sea, restaurants and town centre, there is a nice garden with lawn at front and eating area at back with garden furniture and electric barbecue. Also a private parking space in the drive. This would deserve 3 stars if the interior was not so dated. Basically it could do with some modernisation and upgrading of funniture etc. As it is, we would give it 2 stars. Rather small double bedroom but decent sized twin bedroom and living room. TV only French channels. No internet. Ancient washing machine,....
This property has potential, with an excellent position in Royan, it is let down by old fashioned styling and furnishings.
The kitchen was well equipped, including a dishwasher and washing machine, it however was cluttered with an eclectic mix of utensils and pots etc, in my opinion it required de-cluttering of old personal items and a deep clean
The bathroom was basic with only a handheld shower, there was a separate WC.
Both bedrooms were of a good size, however again old fashioned, (Sheets, blankets and eiderdowns). Limited storage in the double bedroom with no hanging space.
The Lounge area did not have a cosy feel with a drab tiled floor and in common with the whole house old fashioned dowdy decor,
Outside there was secure off road parking and a sitting area to the front and rear, both very attractive.
Due to the above review, I feel this property was overpriced, we paid slightly over £1000 for 1 week in the middle of July. With some investment and modernisation this property could justify such an amount.
This was our 4th stop at this apartment/house. Clean tidy with everything we needed. Small garden, but private parking and locked entrance.. Owners live next door who are very pleasant and helpful. Easy walk to town, restaurants and beaches. Good value, hope to be back again sometime..
