The holiday house is located just off the coast road in Ballyvaughan, a 5 minute stroll from the centre of the village, and next to the pier, restaurants, pubs etc. Ballyvaughan is a great base for exploring the Burren, and has a "gentle" atmosphere even in high season. The house (No. 17) was exactly as advertised, and had loads of room for our party of six adults. In fact, it would accommodate 8 adults across the four bedrooms (3 doubles and 1 twin). It's located off the main road, so is very quiet at night. Nice deck at the back for a bbq, and had full sunshine from noon to evening. Receptionist was very friendly and welcoming, and gave us a late checkout on the Sunday. No wifi, which is not necessarily a bad thing. All in all, a great few days in a lovely place.
Perfect place to reach Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands, Galway and other beautiful places. Small, but beautiful and charming city center with resteurant Louges Lounge Bar where is served delicious traditional irish food.
